Data Platform Engineer (Databricks) – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for a Data Platform Engineer specialized in Databricks to join our talent network and work remotely with U.S. clients on project‑based engagements. You will become an integral part of the client’s engineering team, collaborating daily with designers and engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Databricks on AWS in enterprise environments.
• Automate Databricks jobs, clusters, and serving endpoints using REST APIs and Infrastructure as Code.
• Develop and maintain Terraform configurations for cloud infrastructure.
• Design and manage GitHub Actions workflows and reusable CI/CD frameworks across multiple repositories.
• Implement automated code quality and security checks with tools such as SQLFluff and PyLint.
• Establish SDLC guardrails, branch protection, code ownership, approval workflows, deployment controls, and secure secret management.
• Manage Databricks Unity Catalog, including access controls and data lineage.
• Configure monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability for cloud and data platforms.
• Design scalable, reliable, and cost‑efficient multi‑environment data platform architectures.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, or DevOps Engineering.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Extensive experience administering Databricks on AWS.
• Proven expertise with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
