Chief Information Officer – Hispanic South America

About the role

Aon is seeking a senior technology leader to drive the evolution of its application ecosystem across the Hispanic South America region. The CIO will act as a bridge between regional IT strategy and local execution, ensuring operational excellence, risk management, and continuous transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the HSA technology roadmap aligned with regional and global strategies.
• Lead and develop distributed technology teams, fostering high performance and continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with local data‑protection, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards.
• Partner with Country Managers and functional leaders to translate business needs into technology solutions.
• Design and manage a demand‑prioritization model that balances capacity and risk.
• Lead technology performance benchmarking and drive efficiency improvements.
• Oversee ISO 27001 certification efforts and conduct technology audits.
• Strengthen governance, risk, and control frameworks, including vulnerability management.
• Maintain relationships with technology vendors and partners to ensure service quality.

Required profile

• Proven senior IT leadership experience in multicultural environments.
• Deep knowledge of data‑protection, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements in Latin America.
• Experience managing ISO 27001 certification and technology audits.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to act as a strategic partner to business leaders.
• Track record of building high‑performing, distributed technology teams.
