Certified Nursing Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide daily nursing care and support to residents in a healthcare facility. The role involves assisting with personal care, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for each resident.

Key responsibilities

• Identify residents using wristbands or photo cards before providing care or services.
• Report any changes in resident condition to the Nurse Supervisor or Charge Nurse promptly.
• Record all care activities, observations, and incidents on flow sheets, notes, and charts.
• Maintain resident rooms ready for occupancy, greet and escort residents, and introduce them to roommates and staff.
• Assist residents with personal belongings, transportation, and daily living activities.
• Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respirations, weight, and intake/output as instructed.
• Answer resident calls quickly, monitor residents who cannot call for help, and ensure personal care needs are met.
• Observe and report accidents, incidents, complaints, and grievances.
• Follow infection control policies and protect resident health information.

Required profile

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential.
• Trained to perform basic nursing care procedures.
• Ability to follow facility policies and report violations.
• Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation.
• Commitment to maintaining resident privacy and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Measuring and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration).
• Basic patient care techniques such as assisting with hygiene, mobility, and feeding.
