Backend Developer – Go & Node.js (Remote)

About the role

Plan A Technologies is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to design, build, and maintain the core server‑side logic of our applications. You will act as a generalist backend engineer, creating high‑performance microservices, optimizing database performance, and ensuring seamless data flow while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable backend services and APIs.
• Build high‑performance, scalable microservices and define communication protocols.
• Design, optimize, and maintain relational database schemas, ensuring data integrity and query efficiency.
• Identify system bottlenecks, improve performance, and guarantee high availability of core services.
• Partner with frontend developers, product managers, and other engineering stakeholders to deliver quality software solutions.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience developing with Go (Golang) and Node.js.
• Strong background building high‑performance microservices and defining RPC protocols using gRPC.
• Proven experience with relational databases, schema design, and query optimization using PostgreSQL.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and analytical abilities.
• Initiative and drive to achieve great results.
