Automation Tester – Playwright Specialist

About the role

TCS is looking for an experienced Automation Tester to support a major global customer. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality software using modern automation practices, especially Playwright‑based testing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks with a strong focus on Playwright.
• Develop and execute automated test cases for UI and API layers.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing when required to ensure full coverage.
• Build and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks (TDD/BDD/Hybrid).
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams in Agile environments.
• Execute system integration testing and validate end‑to‑end workflows.
• Conduct back‑end and database testing to ensure data integrity and reliability.
• Identify, analyze, and report defects, ensuring proper tracking and resolution.
• Propose innovative solutions to improve automation efficiency and coverage.
• Maintain test documentation, test cases, and automation artifacts.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in QA automation and software testing.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright for UI automation.
• Experience in API and UI automation testing.
• Solid programming/scripting skills in C#, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience using Azure DevOps (or similar) for test management.
• Hands‑on experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines for automated testing.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and participation in Agile ceremonies.
