Solution Architect – Data Integration (Part-Time)

About the role

We are looking for a Solution Architect specialized in data integration to bridge finance and engineering, translating a complex subscription billing model into actionable data requirements for our integration team. This part‑time contract role supports the migration from a legacy accounting system to Zuora while maintaining stakeholder communication during handover.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the billing model in Zuora into data requirements the integration team can act on.
• Lead business analysis for custom billing rules, revenue recognition, and reporting not covered by Zuora professional services.
• Guide finance and business stakeholders through the transformation from a legacy accounting system to Zuora.
• Interpret Zuora’s data model and billing logic to unblock the integration team, acting as a partial platform advisor.
• Facilitate decisions and trade‑off conversations directly with the controller and finance stakeholders.
• Maintain stakeholder communication and technical context continuity during a planned handover period.

Required profile

• Proven business analysis experience across finance and technical domains, including requirements gathering, process mapping, and gap analysis.
• Strong subscription and billing domain expertise covering recurring revenue, invoicing, and payment lifecycle.
• Prior experience with ERP or accounting system migration or transformation.
• Advanced English fluency for executive‑level collaboration with a US‑based finance team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Required skills

• Zuora billing, revenue, and CPQ modules.
• Google Cloud Platform tools such as BigQuery, Looker, and Data Studio.
• Data modeling and pipeline validation.
• Familiarity with change management frameworks (ADKAR, Kotter).
