Senior Engineering Manager – Technical Leadership

About the role

Coderio is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the end‑to‑end execution of complex digital products for global clients. This high‑stakes role blends deep technical expertise with strong delivery ownership, ensuring both architectural quality and client trust.

Key responsibilities

• Architectural oversight: challenge proposals, audit decisions, and intervene in code when critical blockers arise.
• Define and enforce engineering standards, code quality practices, and high‑performance delivery cadences.
• Drive modernization toward cloud‑native, microservices, and API‑first architectures.
• Make pragmatic trade‑offs between technical debt, velocity, and scalability and defend them to senior stakeholders.
• Own the full Software Development Life Cycle across multiple accounts, from planning to incident response.
• Manage capacity, velocity, and budgets across parallel workstreams.
• Identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks proactively.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed team of 8‑15 engineers, fostering a high‑stakes delivery culture.
• Act as primary technical liaison for C‑level client executives, translating business goals into engineering priorities.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience building scalable systems.
• 3+ years in an engineering management or tech‑lead role, managing teams and budgets.
• Proven ability to make and defend technical decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with senior client stakeholders.
