QA Automation/SDET & Java Technical Leader (Remote)

About the role

BairesDev is seeking a senior QA Automation/SDET professional to lead Java‑based test automation initiatives. The role is fully remote and involves shaping quality strategies, collaborating with product owners, and driving automation excellence across global projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the global QA and test automation vision.
• Partner with Product Owners to set acceptance criteria and quality standards.
• Identify, prioritize, and automate critical business cases.
• Design and implement Java automation frameworks.
• Configure and maintain Jenkins pipelines for continuous test execution.
• Own testing modules from design through integration.
• Provide technical leadership to the QA automation team.
• Research and evaluate emerging testing technologies and communicate their value.

Required profile

• 5+ years of QA automation experience using Java.
• Strong proficiency in Agile methodologies.
• Proven track record delivering automated testing solutions.
• Expertise in Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent understanding of testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience leading client and stakeholder meetings.
• Demonstrated leadership in team management and project planning.
• Native Spanish proficiency and advanced English.
