Power Systems Engineer (Remote)

About the role

As a Power Systems Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining and evolving the IBM Power infrastructure that supports critical business applications. You will act as the bridge between legacy reliability and modern performance, ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of IBMi environments.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, design, implement and provide end‑to‑end support for IBM Power servers and IBMi partitions.
• Manage virtualization and system resources through HMC and PowerVM to sustain high‑performance workloads.
• Develop custom business logic and automation using RPG and CL scripting.
• Implement high‑availability and disaster‑recovery solutions with PowerHA or comparable technologies.
• Integrate and maintain Fortra toolsets to streamline system management workflows.
• Perform proactive system health activities, including patching, firmware updates, and performance tuning of IBMi environments.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in IBM Power Systems engineering or IBMi administration.
• Strong knowledge of IBMi (OS/400) and RPG development.
• Hands‑on experience with PowerHA, PowerVM, and HMC.
• Familiarity with Fortra system‑management tools.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
