Mechanical Engineer & Python Expert - Freelance AI Trainer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with strong Python expertise to join our freelance AI training team. You will design and develop computational engineering problems that are used to test, evaluate and improve AI systems for leading tech companies.

Key responsibilities

• Design original computational engineering problems that simulate real engineering workflows.
• Create Python‑based tasks that require numerical methods, iterative solutions and optimization.
• Develop problem statements based on real research challenges or practical engineering applications.
• Verify solutions using Python and standard engineering libraries such as NumPy, Pandas and SciPy.
• Document problem descriptions clearly and provide validated correct answers.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional, research or teaching experience in engineering or related domains.
• Strong written English proficiency (C1 level or higher).
• Experience with project‑based, part‑time or freelance work is a plus.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• NumPy, Pandas, SciPy.
• MATLAB, R, C, SQL (any of these is considered equivalent).

What we offer

• Project‑based freelance contract with flexible remote work.
• Estimated workload of 10–20 hours per week during active phases.
• Compensation up to $17 per hour, depending on contribution level.
