Management Accountant

About the role

The Management Accountant will prepare accurate clean trial balances for both local and group entities of Trafigura, supporting accounting, cost management and reporting processes. You will act as the primary liaison between upstream teams and the local finance function, ensuring financial data is reliable and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly trial balances, general ledger entries, accruals and account reconciliations.
• Produce monthly balance reports with commentary, variance analysis and tax position highlights.
• Monitor transfer‑pricing models, margins and provide related insights.
• Coordinate external audits, support audit fieldwork and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
• Prepare exposure reports for management and assess provision requirements.
• Stay updated on new contracts and business developments to evaluate accounting impact.
• Support system and software development, testing and implementation phases.
• Assist with ad‑hoc tasks, document support and audit requirements as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.
• Meticulous, detail‑oriented and results‑driven.
• Independent yet collaborative team player with strong verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple systems simultaneously.
• Eager to learn and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (including pivot tables).
• Knowledge of Alteryx.
• Knowledge of Power BI.
• Understanding of IFRS.
• Fluent Spanish (C2 level).
• Good English (B2 level).
