Legal Counsel – Corporate Legal Team

About the role

The Corporate Legal team at BASF seeks a proactive Legal Counsel to support divisions across the Americas, Europe and Asia. You will provide modern, customer‑oriented legal and compliance solutions while ensuring alignment with internal standards and future‑ready services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver complex contractual analysis, drafting and negotiation for high‑value agreements.
• Support and maintain legal‑compliance tools such as Trust Base, One Trust, ICM and CLM platforms.
• Prepare contract status reports, key metrics and performance indicators for management.
• Maintain a centralized repository of contracts and related documents.
• Create training materials, conduct user training sessions and provide ongoing support for legal tools.
• Implement and update model contracts and standard clauses.
• Lead projects handling large volumes of contracts within tight deadlines.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to understand end‑to‑end processes and propose improvements.

Required profile

• University degree in Law.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant legal experience.
• Knowledge of common‑law systems; Brazilian law is a plus.
• Admission to practice law in the U.S. is a strong plus.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish; Portuguese is a plus.

Required skills
