About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Engineer specialized in project budgeting to join Grupo Berkes. The professional will support the preparation of cost estimates and proposals for engineering projects, working in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse budgets for engineering projects, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Review technical documentation, drawings, specifications and project scopes.
• Perform quantity take‑offs, cost analysis and request quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist in the preparation of proposals and tender submissions, evaluating technical and economic alternatives.
• Analyse prices, costs and performance, identifying optimisation opportunities.
• Track and compare quotations, keeping cost information up to date.
• Participate in site visits and surveys when required.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, Construction and other project teams.
• Provide technical criteria to support decision‑making during the budgeting process.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Previous experience in budgeting of engineering or construction projects.
• Proficiency with computer tools, especially Excel.
• Analytical, organised and capable of working autonomously.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Experience with site visits, technical negotiation and supplier analysis is a plus.
