GMP Technician

About the role

The GMP Technician is responsible for keeping assigned cleanroom areas in a GMP environment clean, orderly, and compliant with safety and SOP requirements. The role involves working closely with team members, following written and verbal instructions, and maintaining professional communication with supervisors and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area in accordance with GMP SOPs.
• Perform repetitive cleaning tasks, including walls, floors, windows, and equipment wipe‑downs.
• Use proper personal protective equipment and follow gowning procedures.
• Support shift lead by completing punch‑list items, work orders, and shutdown cleaning.
• Document daily activities accurately in FN logs and report maintenance issues.
• Adhere to safety rules, stop risky behavior, and respond to customer requests professionally.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred) with 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification is a plus; valid driver’s license may be required.
• Completed all safety, task training, and GMP gowning certifications.
• May need forklift certification depending on business needs.

Required skills

• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and chemicals used in GMP environments.
• Ability to read and interpret SOPs, manuals, and safety instructions.
• Proper use of personal protective equipment and gowning procedures.
• Forklift operation (if certified) and basic chemical safety handling.
• Strong verbal and written communication for reporting and teamwork.
