GMP Technician

About the role

The GMP Technician is responsible for maintaining assigned areas in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment, ensuring they remain clean, orderly, and compliant with safety and SOP standards. The role works closely with team members, supervisors, and customers to support daily operations and meet quality expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning, sanitization, and maintenance tasks in GMP‑controlled zones.
• Follow all safety rules, wear appropriate personal protective equipment, and stop unsafe behavior.
• Support shift leads by completing punch‑list items, work orders, and shutdown cleaning.
• Maintain accurate daily logs, report maintenance issues, and document cleaning activities.
• Adhere to customer and internal SOPs, including gowning procedures and chemical safety protocols.
• Act as a fill‑in for other staff during shortages and assist with area classification tasks.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (preferred) with 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, manuals, and SOPs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional appearance and conduct when interacting with customers and coworkers.

Required skills

• CPR/AED/First Aid certification (preferred).
• Forklift operation certification (may be required).
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and appropriate cleaning compounds.
• Understanding of chemical safety and proper gowning procedures.
