Freights and Brokers Analyst (Fixed-Term Project-Based)

About the role

BASF's Uruguay Hub, which serves all BASF companies across the Americas, is looking for a Freight and Brokers Analyst on a fixed-term project basis. The analyst manages the daily finance operations of the Freight Cost Management team, processing invoices correctly and on time according to global KPIs, working closely with the account management analyst.

Key responsibilities

• Handle daily business through invoice entry and processing
• Understand stakeholder specifications and act as the single point of contact for designated brokers or carriers
• Anticipate and evaluate risks affecting the process and results, and propose mitigation strategies
• Report periodically on the progress and status of brokers and freight business, escalating to management when needed
• Conduct training and take part in internal initiatives or projects as needed
• Look for automation opportunities and continuous improvement

Required profile

• University degree or advanced studies in Administration, Finance, Foreign Trade or a similar field
• 2 or more years of experience in similar positions
• English at an advanced level; Portuguese valued
• Strong customer focus and communication skills
