Forwarding Business Analyst

About the role

The Forwarding Business Analyst will support our Latin America freight forwarding operations, primarily based in Montevideo. You will analyse performance, track costs, and drive continuous improvement across the team while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate team performance against KPIs and distribute reports to stakeholders and customers.
• Track and analyse cost data for Americas freight forwarding teams.
• Support daily operations of the Montevideo forwarding team, handling individual container shipments.
• Conduct market research on key commodity flows across the Americas.
• Prepare business cases, presentations, project documentation, tenders and opportunity assessments.
• Assist in creating commercial proposal documents such as offer packs, due‑diligence files, acquisition requests and RFPs.
• Participate in business improvement projects, developing new processes, tools and templates.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience in freight forwarding or container shipping.
• Strong knowledge of international freight forwarding, trade terms and Incoterms.
• Good understanding of international trade, warehousing and terminal activities.
• Fluent in spoken and written Spanish and English; Portuguese a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multinational environment and travel to regional sites.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Experience with Salesforce‑based applications (preferred).
