Forward Deployed Engineer (TypeScript + AI) – Remote

About the role

FullStack is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to embed with enterprise clients, identify AI opportunities, architect solutions, and deliver production‑ready systems. You will act as a consultant, operator, and engineer, working closely with senior leadership and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Run discovery workshops, separate genuine AI problems from workflow issues, and produce scoped, defensible proposals.
• Design end‑to‑end agentic systems, including orchestration, retrieval architecture, tool integration, guardrails, and human‑in‑the‑loop checkpoints.
• Build and ship production‑grade agents, multi‑step automations, and integration layers, owning CI/CD pipelines for testing, release, and deployment.
• Present architectural decisions to CTOs, VPs of Engineering, and business leaders, quantifying impact and supporting pre‑sales scoping when needed.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with a mainstream stack (TypeScript/Node.js, Python, Java, C#/.NET, or Go).
• 1–4 years of experience building and shipping LLM‑powered or agentic AI systems beyond prototypes.
• Advanced English proficiency and a completed four‑year college degree.
• Proven ability to lead client‑facing discovery calls, ask strategic questions, and own end‑to‑end delivery without product‑manager supervision.

Required skills

• TypeScript/Node.js (or Python, Java, C#/.NET, Go)
• Frontier AI developer tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Gemini CLI, OpenAI Codex
• API design, event‑driven and distributed systems, data modeling
• CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance
• Enterprise integration patterns: APIs, webhooks, event streams, iPaaS platforms (n8n, MuleSoft)
• Agile/Scrum methodologies
