Director of Sales – Lead Growth & Market Expansion

About the role

The Director of Sales will shape and execute the overall sales strategy for a leasing company, driving portfolio growth, profitability, and market expansion. Reporting to the executive team, this leader will collaborate across credit, operations, finance, and marketing to deliver an exceptional customer experience while meeting strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement short‑ and long‑term sales strategies aligned with corporate goals.
• Set annual sales targets, production goals, and market‑expansion plans.
• Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing sales team; conduct pipeline reviews, forecasting sessions, and performance evaluations.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, vendors, brokers, and strategic partners; represent the company at industry events.
• Monitor sales performance, recommend corrective actions, and ensure pricing and transaction terms meet profitability requirements.
• Partner with Credit, Operations, Risk Management, Marketing, and Finance to improve sales processes and customer experience.
• Produce sales forecasts and performance reports for executive management and the Board.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, company policies, and leasing industry standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading sales teams and delivering revenue growth in a financial services or leasing environment.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate market trends into actionable plans.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional teams such as credit, operations, risk, marketing, and finance.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex portfolios while maintaining rigorous underwriting standards.
