Cloud-native Solution Architect

About the role

As a Cloud-native Solution Architect you will act as a trusted advisor to product and DevOps teams, providing consulting, architectural guidance and hands‑on enablement to design and implement cloud‑native solutions that leverage standardized cloud and infrastructure services.

Key responsibilities

• Consult product and DevOps teams on designing modern cloud‑native solutions across AWS, Azure, Aliyun Cloud and on‑premises environments.
• Translate business, application and infrastructure requirements into reusable solution patterns and pragmatic architectural recommendations.
• Create and maintain reference implementations, reusable patterns and technical guidance using Infrastructure as Code.
• Advise on scalability, security, stability and maintainability, applying modern engineering best practices.
• Contribute feedback to evolve BASF’s cloud and infrastructure service offerings.
• Support internal teams throughout the demand lifecycle and align requests with BASF’s fulfillment processes.
• Facilitate collaboration between product owners, DevOps, infrastructure providers and request‑management stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience designing and delivering cloud‑native architectures.
• Strong analytical skills to convert business needs into technical solutions.
