Civil Engineering Expert for AI Task Design

About the role

Anyone AI is seeking experienced civil engineering professionals to design realistic engineering tasks that evaluate advanced AI agents. You will create, validate, and review tasks that mimic real‑world construction workflows, ensuring AI outputs are accurate and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Design realistic civil engineering tasks based on construction and infrastructure workflows, interpreting tender documents, specifications, drawings, and pricing information.
• Prepare and verify quantity schedules, takeoffs, cost estimates, and project budgets, matching work items to appropriate pricing entries.
• Identify inconsistencies, missing information, duplicate items, and document their implications and required clarifications.
• Create reference solutions with traceable calculations, source citations, and clearly justified assumptions.
• Review AI‑generated outputs, independently check reference answers for accuracy, and collaborate with technical contributors to define reproducible evaluation criteria.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Substantial professional experience in construction estimating, quantity surveying, tender preparation, or technical project review.
• Strong ability to interpret construction specifications, drawings, bills of quantities, and contractual requirements.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building systems across multiple trades.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to explain technical decisions clearly in written English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel or LibreOffice Calc, including formulas, unit conversions, and budget reconciliation.
• Confidence working with lengthy PDF documents and structured data.
• Ability to distinguish documented facts from assumptions and recognize when clarification is required.
