Bookkeeper

About the role

Howard Financial is a tech‑forward outsourced accounting firm looking for a junior Bookkeeper to support a portfolio of US‑based clients. You will work remotely, collaborating closely with accountants and senior accountants to ensure accurate, timely books.

Key responsibilities

• Record and categorize daily transactions in QuickBooks Online.
• Reconcile bank, credit‑card and loan accounts each month.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, and prepare journal entries for review.
• Support month‑end close by preparing schedules and flagging discrepancies.
• Maintain organized client files and produce basic financial reports for review.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of bookkeeping or junior accounting experience.
• Degree in Accounting or related field (completed or in progress).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good written and spoken English for communication with US clients.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.
