Accounting to Reporting Coordinator – 9‑Month Fixed‑Term

About the role

Syngenta’s Accounting to Reporting team is looking for a proactive Coordinator to support group reporting and month‑end close activities for a nine‑month fixed‑term contract in Montevideo, Uruguay. You will ensure accurate, timely financial submissions and help drive continuous improvement across finance operations.

Key responsibilities

• Orchestrate IFRS group reporting and month‑end close, guaranteeing correctness and timely submission.
• Manage the AICO month‑end closing module and the Banking Process.
• Collaborate with the Global Finance Operations (GFO) team to maintain data quality and reliable outputs.
• Support IFRS/statutory audits and the preparation of financial statements.
• Implement ICF Controls compliance and promote a KPI‑driven mindset for efficiency gains.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives, emphasizing automation and AI usage.
• Work cross‑functionally with Finance Operations and regional Accounting to Reporting teams.
• Foster a compliance culture through training and team‑spirit activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Administration or Finance.
• Fluent in English and Spanish.
• 5‑7 years of experience in finance, costing, accounting or related roles.
• Proven ability to work in a cross‑functional matrix environment.
• Self‑starter with minimal hand‑over and experience leading people.

Required skills

• IFRS reporting standards.
• CFIN, ICMR and SBFC month‑end closing systems.
• AICO closing module.
