Accountant – US GAAP & QBO for Hospitality Clients

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking a reliable Accountant to support its growing Hospitality practice. You will manage day‑to‑day accounting for a portfolio of hotels, restaurants and related businesses, ensuring clean books, timely closes and accurate US GAAP reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Own full‑cycle accounting for multiple hospitality clients, including general‑ledger management, month‑end close and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and journal entries.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information, clarify transactions and deliver results.
• Identify discrepancies, process gaps and improvement opportunities, and adapt quickly to evolving client needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience with full‑cycle close ownership.
• Strong, practical knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience serving US‑based clients or working in a US‑facing accounting environment.
• Ability to manage several client accounts simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Self‑directed, organized and able to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume setting.
