Senior Data Engineer – Databricks & AI/ML (Remote, Latin America)

About the role

FullStackFullStack is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join its talent network and work on remote, project‑based assignments for U.S. clients across Latin America. You will become an integral part of the client’s engineering team, collaborating daily with designers, engineers, data scientists and ML engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms using Databricks.
• Support AI/ML workflows by preparing, transforming, and feature‑engineering data for model training.
• Build and optimise ETL/ELT processes and large‑scale Spark jobs.
• Ensure data quality, performance, monitoring and reliability across cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate data solutions into product features.
• Implement CI/CD practices for data applications and contribute to shared libraries.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional data‑engineering experience.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
• Proven ability to work autonomously in fast‑paced, Agile/Scrum settings.

Required skills

• Databricks, Delta Lake, Apache Spark.
• SQL and data modeling.
• Python (or similar data‑engineering languages).
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• ETL/ELT pipeline development.
• ML pipelines, feature engineering, MLOps practices.
• CI/CD for data applications.
