Cash Operations Specialist

About the role

Veta Virtual is seeking a Cash Operations Specialist to join a fast‑growing fintech and cryptocurrency client. The role focuses on daily cash position management, bank reconciliations and liquidity oversight, working closely with accounting, treasury and payroll teams to ensure accuracy and timely month‑end close.

Key responsibilities

• Allocate and record cash payments across accounts in line with internal accounting standards.
• Own the completeness and reconciliation of transaction accounts, creating and parking general‑ledger journals tied to bank statements.
• Manage banking relationships and related accounting transactions.
• Prepare monthly bank reconciliations with supporting documentation.
• Maintain balance‑sheet general‑ledger accounts and perform monthly reconciliations.
• Resolve historic cash‑related queries and report on performance and process KPIs.
• Support audit and tax queries with clear accounting explanations and documentation.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in treasury operations, accounting or banking.
• Hands‑on experience with bank reconciliations and solid knowledge of accounting principles.
• Strong numeracy, analytical ability and a proactive work ethic.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, remote environment.
• Based in Latin America (LATAM) or Europe.
