About the role
As the Regional Controller for Latin America, you will safeguard financial reporting, lead accounting operations across multiple countries, and partner closely with Global Finance to ensure clarity and confidence in financial results. This role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on execution, driving both compliance and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate month‑end close and regional consolidation across LATAM markets, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with US GAAP and global accounting policies.
- Oversee balance‑sheet reviews, account reconciliations, journal entries, and monthly financial statements for all regional entities.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and local statutory requirements, including tax filings and coordination with local service providers.
- Plan and execute annual statutory audits for the region, support the global consolidated audit, and implement audit recommendations.
- Lead, coach, and support accounting teams across the LATAM region, acting as a liaison between country teams, regional leadership, and Global Finance.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and system enhancements in collaboration with Corporate Finance and global transformation teams.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 6–8 years of progressive experience in accounting, financial control, or audit, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within a multinational or regional finance function.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and local statutory reporting requirements, especially within Latin American markets.
- Experience managing and developing geographically dispersed teams.
- Proven ability to partner cross‑functionally with Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Legal, and external auditors.
- Strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate complex accounting issues.
- Excellent communication, organization, and time‑management skills with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
