Java Backend Developer (Spring Boot)

About the role

TCS is looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to join a global customer project. You will design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services in a fast‑moving Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build, enhance, and support RESTful APIs for seamless integration with upstream and downstream systems.
• Develop microservices‑based architectures focused on scalability, security, and performance.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines, deployment activities, and release management.
• Monitor production environments, troubleshoot issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, QA, DevOps, and other cross‑functional teams within Scrum delivery models.
• Contribute to design discussions, technical reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure code quality through best practices, testing, and adherence to development standards.

Required profile

• 4+ years of hands‑on Java backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience designing and implementing microservices architectures.
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices and modern DevOps methodologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and support mission‑critical applications.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating with cross‑functional groups.
