Financial Reporting Semi Senior Analyst – Fixed‑Term (Project‑Based)

About the role

BASF is seeking a Semi Senior Analyst to join its Financial Reporting hub in Montevideo on a fixed‑term, project‑based contract. The role supports North‑American entities by preparing and validating monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with local and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily and monthly financial reporting activities, ensuring adherence to internal policies and legal requirements.
• Perform account reconciliations, analyse variances and prepare explanatory notes for quarterly and annual reports.
• Manage asset and lease accounting tasks and maintain data integrity from SAP modules.
• Collaborate with local finance, controlling, and the parent company to gather and validate information.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives, knowledge transfer, and global finance projects.
• Support internal and external audits, internal controls and implementation of regulatory changes.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in financial reporting or accounting, preferably with exposure to North‑American reporting standards.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus.
