Collection Analyst – Fixed‑Term Project (Montevideo)

About the role

The Collection Analyst supports BASF's Finance Order‑to‑Cash hub in Montevideo, handling client communications and payment processing for North America accounts. This is a fixed‑term, project‑based position with a minimum six‑month duration.

Key responsibilities

• Contact clients via email, phone and WhatsApp to address billing and collection queries.
• Send updated account statements to low‑complexity clients and relevant sales teams.
• Provide necessary information to the Accounts Receivable team to ensure proper payment application.
• Maintain client data in the Get Paid collection tool.
• Report billing discrepancies to the appropriate internal teams.
• Participate in ad‑hoc client meetings and business discussions.
• Follow established guidelines and assist with internal and external audits.
• Contribute to small‑scale projects under the guidance of a focal point.

Required profile

• Student or bachelor’s degree in International Business, Communication or a related field.
• Previous experience in a similar collection or accounts‑receivable role is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in English, both spoken and written.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of SAP (valued).
