Automation Engineer (Remote, Full‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for an Automation Engineer to own and evolve the automation infrastructure that drives key business operations for a fast‑growing SaaS startup. This full‑time, fully remote position offers the chance to design, maintain, and optimise workflows that span lead management, CRM processes, reporting, and internal operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain end‑to‑end automation workflows, including lead intake, scoring, routing, enrichment and CRM synchronization.
• Manage Salesforce automation covering lead lifecycle, object relationships, field mapping, conversion logic and activity tracking.
• Create automated reporting pipelines for daily, weekly and monthly business metrics.
• Support internal operational automations such as candidate screening, meeting intelligence, calendar sync and secure credential handling.
• Write, debug and maintain Python and JavaScript code within automation platforms.
• Document workflows and automation logic to ensure maintainability and scalability.
• Identify improvement opportunities and propose automation solutions that increase efficiency.
• Contribute to the long‑term automation strategy as you grow in the role.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience building multi‑step, multi‑branch automations using platforms such as Zapier or Make.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, field mapping and workflow automation.
• Experience integrating AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude) and handling prompt engineering within live workflows.
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex automation issues and continuously improve processes.
