Senior Browser-Based Device Engineer (Remote, Latin America)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Browser‑Based Device (BBD) Engineer to design, develop, and optimize high‑performance Smart TV applications for platforms such as LG webOS, Samsung Tizen, and other connected TV ecosystems. You will own the full product lifecycle, from concept through certification and post‑release support, while collaborating closely with product, design, and QA teams.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain BBD applications for LG webOS, Samsung Tizen, and similar platforms.
• Implement pixel‑perfect UIs from Figma designs, adapting to device‑specific constraints.
• Manage the complete development lifecycle, including store submission, certification, and ongoing support.
• Optimize memory usage, navigation responsiveness, and video playback performance.
• Build and extend SDK components tailored for BBD platforms.
• Handle media playback pipelines, DRM integration, buffering, and adaptive streaming.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Troubleshoot, debug, and support production applications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality features on schedule.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience building commercial TV applications for webOS, Tizen, or similar platforms.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS.
• Experience with React, Enact, and platform‑specific SDKs/APIs.
• Deep understanding of Smart TV app architecture and device constraints.
• Hands‑on experience with media playback APIs, DRM, and adaptive streaming.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
