Senior Fund Accountant

About the role

Apex Group is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join its Montevideo team. The role focuses on supporting the day‑to‑day accounting operations for fund services clients, including Net Asset Value (NAV) calculation and related financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounting data within the Apex Fund Services system.
• Calculate NAV, perform cash and portfolio reconciliations, and value portfolios.
• Compute fees, accruals, and other required adjustments.
• Create invoice templates and payment instructions.
• Assist in preparing interim and final financial statements for clients and reporting to regulatory authorities.
• Draft routine correspondence to clients and internal stakeholders.
• Support the Senior Fund Administrator and Account Manager in client‑facing activities.
• Report internally to Account Managers on daily activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in fund administration.
• Strong understanding of fund accounting processes and regulatory reporting.
• Ability to translate business needs into accurate financial outcomes.
