Senior Data Engineer (Databricks + AI/ML) – Remote – Latin America

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in Databricks and AI/ML to join our talent network and work remotely with US‑based clients. You will become an integral part of the client’s engineering team, collaborating daily with designers, engineers and data scientists to deliver production‑grade data solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and platforms on Databricks.
• Build and optimise ETL/ELT workflows, ensuring data quality, performance and reliability.
• Prepare, transform and feature‑engineer data for machine‑learning models and MLOps pipelines.
• Work with Delta Lake, Spark and cloud data services (AWS, Azure or GCP) to process large‑scale datasets.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate data solutions into product features.
• Implement CI/CD practices for data applications and monitor production systems.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional data‑engineering experience.
• Advanced English proficiency and a completed four‑year degree.
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks, Delta Lake and Spark.
• Proven track record supporting AI/ML workflows, including model training and feature engineering.
• Strong SQL, data‑modeling and Python (or similar) programming skills.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments and large, complex systems.
