Principal Sales Engineer – Retailing

About the role

Sabre is seeking a Principal Sales Engineer to lead pre‑sales activities for its airline portfolio, covering Offer Management, Order Management, Dynamic Pricing, Ancillary Retailing and broader airline modernization initiatives. The role partners with sales, account management, product and delivery teams to drive strategic pursuits worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops, solution design, RFP responses, demonstrations and executive presentations.
• Provide strategic direction throughout the sales pursuit and foster collaboration across global teams.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, understanding customer needs and architecting effective solutions.
• Ensure smooth hand‑off from pre‑sales to delivery, coordinating kickoff activities.
• Partner with product management to maintain deep product knowledge and articulate value propositions.
• Track sales engineering metrics, analyze data and implement performance improvements for the Americas region.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
• 5‑7 years of progressively senior leadership experience in pricing and revenue management or related areas.
• Hands‑on experience with Sabre or competitor airline IT solutions.
• Extensive knowledge of the aviation market, competitive landscape and modern retailing trends.
• Proven record of pre‑sale engagements at the C‑level and ability to influence cross‑functional global teams.
• Strong business acumen and persuasive communication skills.
