About the role

Otis is seeking a Maintenance Officer (CAT VII) to join its service team in Punta del Este. You will be responsible for maintaining and servicing elevators across a defined route of buildings, ensuring safety and reliability for customers.

Key responsibilities

• Attend assigned buildings individually, equipped with personal tools and safety gear.
• Inspect overall safety status of each installation.
• Clean elevator pits and mechanisms, lubricate moving parts, and perform machine‑room checks.
• Replace faulty contacts, carbon brushes, and contactors; verify door operation.
• Execute tasks defined in the Preventive Maintenance Plan, including simple electrical and mechanical repairs.

Required profile

• Tertiary, technical or professional degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrotechnics, Mechanical, Industrial or related fields.
• At least 1 year of experience in similar maintenance roles, preferably in multinational elevator companies.
• Result‑oriented, customer‑focused, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a team.
• Basic knowledge of elevator electronic technologies.
• Valid driver’s license and basic English proficiency.
