Data Engineer (Python, AWS, DBT) – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

FullStack is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a U.S. client’s team on a remote, project‑based basis serving the Latin America region. You will work closely with designers and engineers to build and maintain robust data pipelines and transformation workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Python, DBT, and Airbyte.
• Implement data integration and ingestion processes on the AWS stack (S3, Lambda, Step Functions).
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs in production environments.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines with Docker, Linux CLI, and GitHub Actions.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to large, complex systems.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Advanced English proficiency and a completed four‑year college degree.
• Strong experience with Python for data processing and automation.
• Proficient in SQL and PostgreSQL, with solid data‑modeling knowledge.
• Hands‑on experience with DBT, Airbyte, and the AWS data stack.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and using Docker, Linux CLI, and GitHub Actions.
• Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and take extreme ownership.
• Experience with healthcare or health‑related data is a strong plus.
