Costing Analyst – North America (Montevideo)

About the role

Syngenta is looking for a Costing Analyst focused on North America to join its Finance Operations team in Montevideo. You will support intercompany pricing, cost reporting and budgeting for the United States and Canada, ensuring accurate financial data for the region.

Key responsibilities

• Own North America intercompany purchase price variance (PPV) and support monthly reporting.
• Prepare and coordinate NA COGS variance meetings.
• Handle daily costing for Canadian and US local purchases.
• Generate intercompany invoices, cycle‑count reports and Canada freight postings.
• Review and clean up US and CA COGS clearing accounts.
• Assist with ad‑hoc requests from NA P&S finance stakeholders.
• Support internal and external audit, compliance processes, and year‑end activities.
• Participate in Canada costing budget and US financial budget processes.

Required profile

• Graduate degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or procurement & supply (P&S) roles.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Strong analytical thinking, initiative and attention to detail.
